RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Egbunu suffered a torn left ACL while jumping for a rebound in Tuesday's 114-95 victory over Auburn.

Egbunu was the team's leader in both rebounds (6.6) and blocks (1.5), adding 7.8 points per game. In his absence, the Gators will likely turn to Kevarrius Hayes, a sophomore, in the post. With the injury, Egbunu will likely not be able to resume basketball activities until close to the end of the calendar year.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Egbunu (knee) is expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday, Kevin Brockway of the Gainesville Sun reports.

The senior center was en route to a standout performance Tuesday against Auburn before he injured his knee going up for a rebound. According to Brockway, Egbunu iced his knee at halftime before the team's medical staff ultimately ruled him out for the remainder of the game. Wednesday's MRI ought to shed light on the severity of Egbunu's injury. If Egbunu is to miss extended time, it'd be a significant blow to the Gators' frontcourt depth given that he leads the team in both rebounds (6.6) and blocks (1.5) per game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Egbunu left Tuesday's game against Auburn with a knee injury and will not return.

Egbunu was off to a strong start Tuesday, scoring 10 points on a perfect 3-of-3 shooting from the field to go along with four rebounds in the first half. The team will likely provide an update following Tuesday's game on the severity of the injury, and in his absence, look for Kevarrius Hayes to see more frontcourt minutes off the bench for the Gators.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Egbunu added 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds and two blocks in Saturday’s win over Texas A&M.

Egbunu turned in one of his strongest performances of the season Saturday against the Aggies, as he posted his first double-double of the season. The junior center also easily surpassed his season averages of 7.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. The Gators will be hoping Egbunu can continue his strong play of late when they take on Auburn on Tuesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Egbunu is averaging 4.7 points and 5.3 rebounds over three games since returning from a hamstring injury.

Egbunu's trouble with personal fouls that hindered his performance last season is coming back to bite him, as he fouled out in his first game back and logged four personals Saturday against Tennessee. He's been coming off the bench in favor of Kevarrius Hayes since his return, but if Egbunu can return to the production that made him one of the preseason's top fantasy centers, look for the senior to eventually return to the starting lineup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Egbunu (hamstring) is set to play in Thursday's game against Arkansas, Kevin Brockway of the Gainesville Sun reports.

Egbunu has missed each of the team's previous two games because of his hamstring issue, but appears ready to return to the court and potentially the starting lineup Thursday. The big man has averaged nine points, 7.7 boards and 2.4 blocks for the Gators this season and figures to be a vital part of defending Arkansas star Moses Kingsley.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Egbunu (hamstring) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's SEC opener against Arkansas, Kevin Brockway of the Gainesville Sun reports.

Fantasy owners with weekly lineup submissions may not have this luxury, both those in leagues that allow daily swaps will want to monitor Egbunu's status leading up to Thursday's tip-off. If he has to miss his third straight game, Kevarrius Hayes will be called upon to start once again, where he'll be matched up with star big man Moses Kingsley.
