Thompson will transfer to Western Kentucky from Virginia.

As a graduate transfer, Thompson is free to play out his final year of eligibility next season without being forced to sit out a year. He came off the bench for Virginia last season, averaging 6.2 points and 2.2 assists across 20.8 minutes per game. Thompson's transfer to Western Kentucky likely indicates he's looking to have a bigger role on his new team, which should boost his fantasy value.

Butler's Andrew Chrabascz is averaging nearly a fantasy point per minute and could be a huge contributor Saturday against Indiana State if he can stay out of foul trouble.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thompson will graduate and transfer from Virginia, Jeff Borzello of ESPN reports.

Thompson was a solid player off the bench for the Cavaliers in 2016, averaging 6.2 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.6 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game. As a graduate transfer he'll be eligible to play out his final year of eligibility next season at whichever school he transfers to.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thompson provided 10 points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists, and two steals off the bench in a 71-54 win over Boston College on Wednesday.

This is just Thompson's second double-digit scoring performance in his last nine games. For comparison, he started the season with four games of at least 10 points in his first five games. While the 6-4 junior has played limited minutes off the bench, he's been pretty efficient at 49 percent from the field and 41 percent from deep. Thompson and the Cavaliers will look for their fourth straight win when the host Georgia Tech on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thompson hit just one shot Tuesday at Wake Forest, but it was a game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.

Thompson's prayer was answered as he banked in a shot from a nearly impossible angle. He finished with three points and one assist in eight minutes. Thompson open the season in the team's starting lineup, but has seen his opportunities decrease dramatically in league play. He's hit one or zero field goals in seven straight games, having not scored more than four points in that span, and is clearly far off of fantasy radars.

December 2, 2015

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thompson had 12 points, six assists and two rebounds Tuesday at Ohio State.

Thompson started in place of London Perrantes, who underwent an appendectomy. Should Perrantes miss Saturday's game against William & Mary, Thompson could be worth a look in daily leagues.

November 21, 2015

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thompson had three points and two rebounds Friday against Long Beach State.

Following a loss to George Washington, Thompson has moved back to a reserved role in favor of Marial Shayok. Playing just 33 minutes in his last two games, Thompson's fantasy appeal is negligible.

November 13, 2015

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thompson had 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals Friday against Morgan State.

Playing 23 minutes as a starter in a veteran lineup, Thompson certainly opened some eyes. How he performs Monday against George Washington will go a long ways towards determining his immediate relevance.
